Broken Spring Service

Torsion springs suffer from spring fatigue causing them to break. Springs are under tremendous torque (tension) when the door is in the down position. This is necessary. Springs have to be under tension in order for the door to be lifted.

If you can’t lift your garage door you may have a BROKEN SPRING similar to the one shown in our photo. If a spring is broken you can see the separation. Most double car garage doors have two TORSION SPRINGS. Only one may be broken, and it can keep the door from opening.

Broken springs on overhead garage doors should be replaced ONLY BY AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN. If you suspect you have a broken spring contact us today. Do not attempt to open your garage door with a broken spring.

We also replace extension springs on overhead garage doors.

Opener Service

A properly installed and maintained garage door and garage door opener offer safety, security, and convenience. We recommend periodic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Sensor Service

The SENSOR BEAMS are located 4"-6" off the floor next to the vertical track. If your garage door opener goes down just a few inches and goes back up or won’t go down at all, your SENSOR BEAM LENS may have an obstruction that prevents the invisible beam from functioning.

Does your garage door travel a few inches down and then go back up? Check the sensor beams for blockage or debris. Use a clean dry cloth and gently clean each lens.

Does garage door travel within a few feet of floor and reverses Check the bottom of the garage door for debris or a pull down rope that might swing in front of the sensor beams, breaking the infrared beam.
